Je suis obligée de faire un post sur ce film de Christophe Honoré..c'est tout simplement un de mes films préférés!
OK j'ai pas beaucoup de recul, je l'ai vu et revu il y a seulement quelques jours mais voilà, c'est un film superbe qui chante l'amour, le desespoir, les sentiments...avec des acteurs- pour le coup aussi chanteurs- formidables, dont Louis Garrel qui touche vraiment au sublime. Un coup de coeur aussi pour Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet en jeune amoureux transi, mais toute la distribution est vraiment parfaite:)..Cette image de Ludivine Sagnier me hante quand elle est filmée en gros plan à la fin de la chanson "Les Yeux aux Ciel"..

Et les chansons!! Je les ai tout le temps dans la tête, les paroles sont tellement émouvantes, elles mettent à nu les personnages, surtout "Ma Mémoire Sale". Bravo à Alex Beaupain, le compositeur.

Un film que j'ai hâte de revoir encore, et encore, et encore...

Ca s'est terminé là où ça avait commencé...à Censier!
C'est là qu'on s'est dit au revoir avec les filles...sniffff...on a mis des heures avant de pouvoir se quitter^^. Heureusement la video de Priss/moule Mayo m'a tout de suite remonté le moral! Au moins je saurai quoi regarder si je suis déprimée en NZ.

In about a week, we're leaving..
Yet I feel sad. Why? Because some people -I won't name them- have disappointed me. I don't think they will miss me much...that's sad, but that's how I feel. I'm tired of always being the one making concessions, I'm tired of being misunderstood, I'm tired of pretty much everything...thank God I still have some friends and family that I can count on..Maybe I'm just a selfish narcissistic person that's why I have those thoughts, but today I'm kinda bitter and disappointed by people I thought I was actually close to. I'm probably making myself ideas...or maybe I'm expecting too much from some people, I should lower my expectations.

To end on a positive note...last night was great!
I attended to "Fractures de guerre", a play with my stepdad starring in it:) The play was rather serious and longuish but in the end I really enjoyed it, and right after the show we had a good time drinking ponch and listening to the band Les Karamazov, who came especially that night to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Corvisart association! Long live Corvisart!:)

On était censé aller à Vincennes mais la pluie s'est mise à tomber...après moultes réfléxions, nous avons trouveé refuge à un tout autre endroit...la cour carrée du Louvre! Comme vous pouvez le voir sur la photo, on était super bien organisé! Et on a très bien mangé!

Vous allez me manquer les filles, enfin heureusement je récupère Liz lol

Sinon trop fort aux Tuileries...mais la prochaine fois on se met un peu plus près, histoire de mieux voir :P

Ca y est Roland, c'est fini! Snifffff, surtout que l'année prochaine je ne pourrai pas le regarder...

Décidemment impossible de détrôner Justine Henin et Rafael Nadal. Pour la 3ème année consécutive, ils ont remporté le tournoi! Mais avant de parter de ces finales, faisons un petit tour sur les 1/2 finales...

D'abords chez les dames..que dire? C'était....boring.
Ivanovic/Sharapova, le "match des top models" comme le dise si bien les commentateurs était d'un ennui mortel avec une Sharapova à la ramasse, laissant Ivanovic loin en tête.
Ca va mieux avec Jankovic/Henin. Le score là aussi est très sévère en faveur de la Belge, pourtant on assiste à un match plus accroché, à des échanges plus longs.

Vendredi...1/2 hommes...un regal xD! (mon beau-père a d'ailleurs pris sa journée pour voir les matchs et il a un faible pour Federer;))
Federer/Davydenko, un match très accroché. 3 sets, 3h de jeu, je vous laisse imaginer! Davydenko mène à chaque fois au score, dans tous les sets mais il n'arrive jamais à conclure, c'est pourquoi Federer a réussit à prendre l'avantage au final. Bien joué qd même Nikolay;)
Nadal/Djokovic...Pas facile pour Nole d'affronter le n°1 mondial sur terre battue...il a bien résisté tout de même dans les 2ers sets, mais voilà Nadal l'a poussé à bout physiquement. Un très beau parcours cela dit pour mon Serbe préféré qui a d'ailleurs reçu le prix Bourgeon (révélation de l'année).

Que dire maintenant des finales?

Henin/Ivanovic...c'était expéditif! Justine n'a fait qu'une bouchée d' Ivanovic qui était pour la 1ère fois en finale d'un Gd Chelem. (merci à France Télé pour les photos d'Ivanovic montrées avant le match...Gardez les pour vous la prochaine fois! Marre de toutes ces remarques sur son physique!!)
Bravo à Justine qui remporte le tournoi pour la 3e année consécutive!!

Pour finir, le duel archi attendu...Federer/Nadal.
Un très beau match, en 4 sets, et à ma plus grance joie, un Nadal qui a oublié d'être bourrin et qui joue de façon très tactique. C'est payant contre un joueur du calibre de Federer car Nadal gagne à nouveau RG...décidemment il ne perdra jamais à Paris! (autre remarque à France télé: marre marre marre que vous montriez sans cesse la tronche de vos patrons qui se dorrent au soleil dans les tribunes VIP, marre de la tronche des belles meufs dans le public, et who cares about Federer's girlfriend? No one! So the next time don't show us her face every ten seconds! thanks!)

Enfin, j'aimerais revenir sur le tournoi en général...

Je me dois de mettre à jour régulièrement les nouvelles du tournoi, sinon ça n'a plus d'intêret de parler des matchs vieux de plusieurs jours!

Nous arrivons déjà aux demi-finales! Ca passe trooop vite...

Honneur aux dames:
la Serbie est à l'honneur cette année avec la qualification de Jelena Jankovic et de Ana Ivanovic. Elles ont éliminé respectivement Nicole Vaidisova et Svetlana Kuznetsova qui fût finaliste l'année dernière. Jankovic affrontera Justine Henin, la favorite du tournoi qui remet une nouvelle fois son titre en jeu. Attention tout de même à la Serbe, qui a beaucoup de confiance dans son jeu.
Ivanovic quant à elle devra battre la n°2 mondiale pour espérer aller en finale, je parle bien sûr de Maria Sharapova, qui se hisse pour la 1ère fois en 1/2 finale. De quoi ravir ces messieurs, n'est-ce pas Laurent?;)
Voilà pour le carré finaliste dames, on a pu observer la suprématie des joueuses de l'Est! Allez Justine lol!

Passons à ces messieurs;)
Je suis vraiment très contente: deux de mes chouchous sont en 1/2!!
Je vais d'abord mentionner Tommy qui lui malheureusement n'est pas passé (je dois être la seule à penser ça!lol). Il faut sire qu'il était confronté à Federer...cela dit Tommy lui a quand même pris un set, achevant ainsi sa série records de sets gagnés à la suite en Grand Chelem. Difficile de lutter contre le n°1, beau parcours qd même Tommy! 3eme année en 1/4, c'est pas tout le monde qui peut faire ça non plus!
Federer s'est donc qualifié, il sera confronté à Nikolay Davydenko:))) Youpi! Niko a battu en 3 sets, dans un match très serré cela dit (1h20 pour jouer le 1er set!), Guillermo Canas qui a fait un retour tonitruant dans le circuit. Bien joué Niko!! Et c'est tj un plaisir de t'entendre en interview;)

Nikolay, ready for rock&roll, eh Nole?

Enfin, la qualif sans surprise de Nadal qui a battu son ami et mentor, Carlos Moya.
Et la vient le meilleur...:)))) Rafa affrontera mon Nole adoré (Novak Djokovic pour ceux qui ne suivent pas lol). Nole a en effet battu en 3 sets Igor Andreev. Une fois passé son match marathon face à Olivier, il semblerait que Nole ait récupéré son meilleur tennis! Il a super bien joué, et de façon très tactique, c'était beau à voir. Après ce que ca va donner contre Nadal c'est une autre histoire.

Nole, tout en souplesse:)

Bonne chance en tt cas à Niko et Nole! Evidemment ils ne sont pas favoris, mais je serai contente s'ils font au moins douter leur adversaire. Je veux des matchs serrés!!

Juste une chose sur Nole: il me fait tj autant mourir de rire quand on le voit dans le vestiaire: imitation de Jacky Chan, quand il fait le con avec son coach, quand il chante Satisfaction avec lui...ça fait plaisir de voir des joueurs comme ça et aussi de voir que son coach est aussi barré que lui mdr!!

Où m'étais-je arrêtée? Ooops je sais plus! Je crois que j'en étais aux 1/16 de finale....

On va commencer par les Français!
Gaël Monfils est décidemment mon chouchou chez les joueurs français! A chaque fois il nous offre de superbes matches, et il fait aussi le show. Vendredi il affrontait David Nalbandian, le redoutable Argentin. Gaël s'est très bien battu, il n'a vraiment pas démérité mais il avait face à lui un joueur qui ne lachait rien. Bravo qd meme Gael!
Mickaël Llodra n'a pas fait beaucoup trembler Davydenko qui a remporté le match en 3 sets.

Samedi Olivier Patience nous a offert le plus beau match du tournoi, à ce jour. Que dire, c'était à la fois rempli en émotion et en suspense, avec deux joueurs-Olivier et Novak Djokovic aka Nole- qui n'ont jamais rien lâché, qui ont tout donné et qui nous ont offert leur meilleur tennis. Le Lenglen a frémit pdt des heures intenses de jeu! Dommage pour Olivier qui a cédé en 5 sets face au jeune Serbe, mais il n'a rien à se reprocher, il a joué merveilleusement bien, son rang de 129e mondial n'est pas digne de son jeu!!

Bon j'avoue, c'etait dur pour moi car les 2 joueurs me plaisent enormement.
Bon, Olivier est Francais, mais surtout- je me repete- il a tres bien joué, et a tt donné du début à la fin, j'espère que ce match, malgré la défaite lancera sa carriere car il le mérite:)))
Et Noleeee je l'adore! Déjà il est 6e mondial, mais il est très fairplay avec ses adversaires. Il a donné un point à Olivier sur une balle qui avait été annoncée faute, il a dit des choses extrêmement gentilles sur Olivier à Nelson Monfort, comme quoi le Français avait bcp mieux joué que lui. Enfin, voilà, il a une personnalité très attachante et bcp d'humour.

Merci à Olivier et à Nole pour ce match formidable!! C'était fort en émotion^^

Par contre, du côté d'Amélie c'était la déception, une fois encore elle quitte le tournoi au 3e tour, cette fois éliminée par la Tchèque Safarova.

Aujourd'hui la dernière Française en lice-Marion Bartoli- a perdu séchement en 1/8 de finale face à la Serbe Jelena Janlovic 6/1, 6/1, mais avec des circonstances atténuantes: une blessure à la hanche dès le début du match. Elle aura qd même fait un beau parcours.^^

Dooonc plus de français dans le tournoi snifff.
Il reste quand même mes chouchous en 1/4;)------Tommy Robredo qui a battu Volandri en 3sets.

------Nikolay Davydenko. Il a battu David Nalbandian en 4 sets, c'était très accroché, on pouvait s'y attendre, ce sont des tueurs, ces deux-là lol.
J'ai adoré les images dans les vestiaires montrant Niko avant le match, et surtout Nole qui lui dit "Don't think too much...Are you ready to rock and roll?!" Il lui a arraché un p'tit sourire, ils sont trop mignons lol. Et merci à Nelson, grâce à lui j'ai pu entendre la voix de Nikolay pour la 1ere fois^^!

Demain, la fin des 1/8 de finale hommes avec Nadal/Hewitt, Baghdatis/Andreev, Björkman/Moya, et Djokovic (alleeeeez Nole!!!!)/Verdasco.

Daniel Craig m'a fait aimer James Bond...franchement je n'ai que ça à dire.

2. Fight Club

En allant me balader sur Allociné j'ai pu constaté que ce film avait été très critiqué par les médias..je ne comprends pas pourquoi, j'ai vraiment adoré ce film et j'ai été époustouflé par la prestation de Edward Norton! David Fincher a fait un travail formidable, et il propose qqchose de différent...peut-être que ça a énervé certains ou alors y a qqchose qui m'a échappé..en tout cas j'ai été séduite, j'ai rarement vu des films comme celui là.

Des nouvelles de terre battue...

Roland Garros a commencé dimanche dernier sous la pluie, pas de quoi rejouir les joueurs et encore moins les spectateurs qui sont venus pour rien car quasiment aucun match n'a été joué. Le pauvre Laurent Luyat (que j'adoooore)-je rappelle que c'est lui qui présente RG sur France Télévisions- n'a fait que faire la speakerine "on se retrouve dans 45 minutes après un épisode d'Hercule Poirot(....)on se retrouve dans une heure après le Grand Zapping de l'humour"...et c'etait comme ça toute la journée lol. Heureusement les choses se sont un peu arrangées lundi malgré la pluie qui continuait de tomber mais en moindre quantité. C'est vraiment mardi que les choses sérieuses ont enfin commencé et qu'on a pu enfin avoir droit à une journée 100% tennis...yessss!

Pas de problème pour les têtes de série, Federer, Nadal, Davydenko, Djokovic, Robredo, Ljubicic (Youbitch comme dirait une certaine Liz lol), j'en passe et des meilleurs...par contre Gonzales est éliminé par Stepanek, c'etait qd meme une surprise...Roddick aussi est passé à la trappe, éliminé par Andreev, un russe spécialiste de terre battue.
Bonne journée aussi pour les français, cela dit les vétérans ont échoués: bye bye Clément, Grosjean, Santoro et aussi Benneteau snifff.
Côté femme pas de grosse surprise...

Mercredi, c'est la déception: Richard Gasquet se fait éliminer par un belge que personne ne connait. Vous pouvez lire l'interview de Richard ici

Heureusement Marathon man alias Gael Monfils est là pour nous remonter le moral! Apres avoir éliminer O. Rochus en 5 sets la veille, il se débarasse de Chela en 4 sets, bravo Gael:)))

Par contre le 3e tour ca va pas etre de la tarte, car Gael affrontera Nalbandian (je connais une Liz qui va s'enerver lol), et Llodra sera contre Davydenko. C'est pas un cadeau!
Chez les femmes, Amélie passe sans soucis au 2e tour et affrontera sa compratriote Nathalie Dechy, Marion Bartoli, elle, s'est qualifiée pour le 3e tour et sera face à la tres sympathique russe Elena Dementieva.
Dans les éliminations surprises, on trouve aussi Marat:(, et Stepanek éliminé par le français Edouard Roger-Vasselin .

Elimination injuste de mon point de vue...la NS t'auras au moins permis d'acquérir un public fidèle et de faire connaitre That's Soul!

A tous les amateurs de soul music...That's Soul sera en concert le 30 juin au Réservoir, Pierre sera évidemment de la partie. Dommage, je ne serai pas là pour l'applaudir.
Venez nombreux! J'y suis allée le 17 mai, j'ai vraiment passé une super soirée: ambiance très agréable pour boire un verre, le concert était génial, il y a beaucoup de talents à découvrir (Tess, Isa Koper, Soul Majestik..).
J'en reparlerai;)

1. DIRT

Courteney Cox est de retour dans une série à l'univers bien éloigné de celui de Friends. Elle interprète Lucy Spiller, rédactrice en chef du magazine Dirt, qui s'occupe de dévoiler tous les secrets des vedettes de Hollywood. Lucy n'a pas d'états d'âme à faire part de la vérité comme elle dit, eh oui pas de fausses rumeurs, d'histoires sorties de nulle part mais bien des faits. Grâce à l'aide de son meilleur ami Don (interprété par Ian Hart)-photographe et schizophrène- elle garde son magazine au top des ventes offrant toujours des histoires plus étonnantes les unes que les autres avec des photos exclusives, celles de Don bien sûr.

On suit en même temps le parcours de Holt MacLaren (Josh Stewart) et Julia Mallory (Laura Allen), deux jeunes acteurs qui doivent affronter bien des problèmes. Holt est devenu une des sources de Lucy, celle-ci lui ayant fait un portrait élogieux dans son magazine alors que sa carrière était au plus bas. Evidemment Julia n'est pas au courant, et alors que Holt devient de plus en plus populaire, la jeune actrice sombre dans la drogue...

Courteney Cox et Josh Stewart

Dirt est vraiment une série bien construite à tout niveau. Lucy peut apparaitre comme une cold-hearted bitch mais c'est quand elle est avec Don, qui doit gérer ses crises schizophrènes, qu'on découvre une personne humaine et sensible. La relation entre Lucy et Don est géniale et inattendue. Don doit être après David Fisher mon personnage de séries préféré, il est tellement complexe et touchant...et j'adore quand il a ses visions.

Pour finir, ne loupez pas cette superbe série! Et je croise les doigts pour qu'il y ait une saison 2 car le suspense est insoutenable!!

2. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan et Jason Segel

On change complètement de registre avec une sitcom qui marche très bien aux States. HIMYM commence en 2030 quand un père de famille veut raconter à ses deux enfants comment il a rencontré leur mère. Il commence donc son histoire qui démarre en 2005 alors qu'il a 27 ans et est célibataire vivant à New York. Ted (Josh Radnor)-c'est son nom- se deséspère d'un jour trouver la femme de sa vie. Heureusement il est entouré de son meilleur ami Marshall (Jason Segel), de sa fiancée Lily (Alyson Hannigan) et de son autre "meilleur ami" Barney (Neil Patrick Harris). Dans le 1er épisode il tombe sous le charme d'une jeune reporter-Robyn (Cobie Smulders)- mais très vite malgrè une attirance réciproque les deux décident de ne rien faire ensemble car Robyn ne veut pas s'engager dans une relation sérieuse. Ils décident alors de rester amis. Robyn devient alors un membre solide du groupe. A partir de là on va suivre les histoires de Ted et ses amis déjantés, surtout Barney, un dragueur invétéré aux répliques désormais cultes(Suit up! ou It's gonna be legend-dary! ou la fameuse réplique Hey, have you met Ted??).

Alors qu'on pensait les sitcoms à tout jamais disparus après Friends, HIMYM prouve le contraire. De bons moments de rire en perspective avec des acteurs talentueux que je ne connaissais pas -à l'exception de Alyson Hannigan alias Lily qui joua Willow dans Buffy pendant 7 ans..

3. OZ

Jesus! J'allais oublier Oz, une série qui a déjà dix ans mais que je n'ai découvert que très récemment. Série HBO acclamée par la critique et les téléspectateurs, vous en avez certainement déjà entendu parler. Elle se déroule dans un milieu carcéral sous haute sécurité à Oswald Penitenciary, plus précisemment dans le quartier de Emmerald City, dirigé par Tim MacManus (Terry Kinney) qui espère améliorer les conditions de vie des détenus. Pas facile, quand il s'agit de s'occuper de détenus très violents, ou perturbés psychologiquement, sans parler des affrontements entre clans: les Musulmans, les Aryens, les Italos et les Blacks.

Dean Winters, J.K. Simmons, Kirk Acevedo,Harold Perrineau, Lee Tergesen et Eamonn Walker

Chaque épisode s'occupe d'un thème en particulier: le couloir de la mort, les visites conjugales, la santé, la routine etc...cela donne ainsi à la série une dimension très réaliste. On est au coeur de la violence quelle soit physique ou mentale. Le jeu des acteurs évidemment y est pour beaucoup, ainsi qu'un scénario au poil. On retrouve beaucoup d'acteurs talentueux comme J. K. Simmons, terrifiant dans le rôle de Schillinger; Lee Tergesen, alias Beecher, formidable dans l' évolution de sa personalité qui se métamorphose au fil des épisodes de plus en plus bouffé par l'enfer de la prison; Harold Perrineau Jr.,alias Augustus Hill, qui est le narrateur de la série...et il y en a beaucoup d'autres...Ryan O'Reilly (Dean Winters), Kareem Said (Eamonn Walker), Adebisi (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)...

Ca y est, on l'a le match tant attendu des médias.
Bon, même si je n'ai jamais été embalée par Sego, je suis quand même rassurée de voir la gauche au second tour. Maintenant de toutes nos forces il faut battre Sarkozy! Car notre vie quotidienne ne va pas s'arranger avec le candidat de la droite libérale au pouvoir. Ca ne l'a pas été avec Chirac, cela le sera encore moins avec Sarko.

J'ai la tête comme une pastèque...je ne sais plus où donner de la tête avec tout ces partiels qui arrivent. Irlande, femme américaine, littéraure, littérature et littérature, et civi US....rrrh je suis trop mal organisée!
Bon, positivons: j'ai fini tous les bouquins en litté, c'est déjà ça! Et j'ai beaucoup aimé The Moonstone et Mourning Becomes Electra. C'est déjà un point positif dans mes révisions!

Enfin, il faut avouer que les révisons me gavent complètement!

Putain, dans deux mois et 4 jours je suis dans un avion qui m'emmène à l'autre bout du monde!!! Si, si, c'est vrai...enfin j'espère! Il faudrait peut-être que je prenne rendez-vous à la banque, héhé, ce serait pas mal si je veux pouvoir payer un loyer et à manger! (pas bête).

Autre préoccupation, et c'est très important pour nous Français! Les Présidentielles:
Demain soir, 20h, on saura qui sont sont les deux finalistes: le rêve ce serait qu'il y ait pas Sarko:) mais faut PAS rêver!
Bon, même si ya des chances (ou pas) que le 6 mai je sois désespérée, je m'intéresse beaucoup à cette campagne électorale, surtout que c'est la première fois que je vote! Donc, je ne vais pas me gêner pour exprimer mes opinions...;)

Desperate Housewives and Husbands

Yeah! I finally got the chance to watch season 2 and 3 (thanks Flora). I don't know why the release in DVD is taking so long in France...

Anyway...I definitely love the show and particularly season 3! The "Orson plot" is far much interesting and handled than the "Applewhites '" in season 2. Also, to be perfectly honest, I have a biased judgement since I worship Kyle MacLachlan (alias Orson Hodge). God..he's so talented and charming. And I'm so glad his character married Bree, my favorite housewife!
In a general perspective, I liked the evolution of every character (except Edie). Susan found herself a charming man who has a delightful British accent, Lynette and Tom are now forming a great team, they're great together! Gabrielle and Carlos are divorced but I like even more their relationship now. I think it's great that they still have this complicity. Let's hope it will last! As for Edie I hated the way she lied to Mike just to seduce him and then dump him a little while after...

Episode 315 (the last one I saw) was amazing so let's hope the next ones are going to be just as good!

En ce qui concerne Prison Break, j'avoue que j'ai peur de la tournure que va prendre la série.
Déjà cet enfoiré de Mahone a tué 3 sur 4 de mes personnages préférés! De quoi bien me déprimer... On verra comment ce termine cette deuxième saison, mais je crains le pire pour Teddy même s'il a le don de se sortir d'affaire à chaque situation! Enfin, une 3e saison me semble de trop pour ce genre de série...à mon avis la saison 1 restera inégalable! Qui vivra, verra....

Prison Break

Il était temps que je regarde Prison Break, hein Flora?
Eh oui cette série est géniale! C'est devenue une véritable addiction. Une fois que l'on commence à regarder on ne peut plus s'arrêter. Les scénaristes ne se gênent pas pour utiliser les cliffhangers à la fin de chaque épisode. On en veut toujours plus du coup!

Les personnages sont formidables. Et même si je ne suis pas tombée sous le charme de Wentworth Miller, je l'apprécie quand même! D'ailleurs j'aime beaucoup la relation entretenue par son personnage et Sara, l'infirmière de la prison. Tout se joue sur le jeu de regard. C'est très subtil, j'aime beaucoup.

Mais j'avoue qu'au lieu d'avoir craqué pour Michael Scofield, comme je le disais à l'instant, j'ai tout de suite adoré T Bag alias Theodore Bagwell, qui est vraiment le pire de tous: assassin, violeur, raciste...mais voilà, il y a quelque chose chez lui qui fait que je ne peux pas m'empêcher de l'aimer! Robert Knepper qui joue T Bag a vraiment fait un travail époustouflant sur son personnage: sa façon de parler, le mouvement qu'il fait avec sa langue, son regard de névrosé,...tout ces petits ingrédients. C'est un perso très élaboré, et j'adore comment il exaspère les autres. Il a aussi des côtés touchants, bref tout ça le rend très intéressant. Vive Robert Knepper! Franchement il est formidable cet acteur! Et j'ai été agréablement surprise de voir que c'était lui qui jouait Tommy Dolan dans Carnivàle.

Now that we are getting closer and closer to the end things are going fast!
Death, love affaires, marriage, political choices...that is what the characters are confronted to.

Atia has a lot to deal with in this episode: Servilia dies in front of her house, cursing her as usual.
As she thinks she is finally going to marry Mark Antony, a political move has to be made to ensure the alliance between Octavian and Antony. Thus, Atia atttends to Antony's wedding...with Octavia. Difficult times for Atia...

In the Aventine, things are not going well between Pullo and Eirene. Eirene fights with Gaia (the whore who slept with Vorenus...thanks for dumping her Lucius:)). She asks her husband to beat her, that's how you discipline your slave, eh! But Pullo is strangely attracted to Gaia.
What will happen if Eirene finds out about the affaire!?

The same for Vorenus: what if he finds out about his daughter sleeping with this guy (i don't remember his name, I just know he is hideous! OK that's mean, but they're both annoying characters. Leave your dad alone Vorena! Do your thing I don't care!)

A good Rome episode it was! And I'd like to say that I more and more appreciate Simon Woods as Octavian. He's doing a good job, but Liz told me he was gay! We shouldn't be surprised anymore...all the good ones are....pffff

ROME- Episode 18 "Philippi"

An end for a new beginning...

The "heroes of the republic" Brutus and Cassius are defeated by Octavian and Antony's army. Even if you don't like these characters, you can't help but feel desperately sad for Cassius and Brutus. The actors' perfomance was brilliant, it was all very well done. Of course death was their only way out and that is what was fantastic with Brutus and Cassius in this episode. They know the battle is lost but they don't give up, they fight till the end. The scenes were very intense and Brutus ceased to be this coward and manipulated character, he doesn't want to run anymore and he dies with dignity, and the scene of his death reminds us of Ceasar's death. A tragic destiny for this character, I think in the end you don't blame Brutus for what he has done because Servilia is the actual cause of all this.
Now we are waiting for the clash between Octavian and Mark Antony...

Back in Italy and before the battle at Philippi, Vorenus and Pullo receive orders from Octavian to murder Brutus' allies. Pullo has to go to Toscana to kill Cicero, a good occasion for him, Eirene who is "preglant", Vorenus and Cie to spend a nice and refreshing moment in the country.

The scene between Pullo and Cicero was weird. It was very calm, the atmosphere was peaceful...They both understood each other, they knew what they had to do...Strange...not awkward, it's hard to describe what I felt.

EPISODE 17 "Heroes of the Republic"

The most horrible episode of Rome...I couldn't sleep after watching it...
I know I can get carried away and it is just television but it has really hurted me. I mean, poor Vorenus!!! This is so unfair!!!
Let's sum up quickly: Vorenus and Pullo come back to Rome with the children safe and sound, but it seems that the children hate their father. During the episode they plan to escape because they blame their dad for all the terrible things they have been through (their mom's death, the curse cast on them by their dad, slavery, prostitution). But they are stopped by Lyde who tells Vorena, the elder one, that they have to stay with their father if they want to have a chance in their lives because they will never survive on their own. So at the end of the episode the whole family is gathered for dinner and the children look all sweet and kind...except that the last shot shows Vorena cursing her dad...that was just horrible. Vorenus does not have a clue of what is happening, he doesn't suspect that his children truly hate him! My God I feel so sorry for him...OK he's made many mistakes and he lost his mind and was very brutal, he cursed his children after Niobe killed herself. And that's the whole misunderstanding, the children think their dad killed their mom, another reason to hate him more. I wish they knew the truth. Moreover he spared little Lucius' life. Now he is trying to start over and I am afraid his daughter's hatred is going to have tragic consequences on Vorenus...*criiiies*
If only they could talk openly and then forgive him..but that'd be too good to be true!
I am just so disgusted of what the writers have done to Vorenus:(
The only positive point is that Pullo is still on his side. They are back together. The scene Pullo/Eirene was quite funny, Eirene being jealous of Vorenus, she thinks Pullo loves Vorenus more lol. Of course Pullo denies it and his joke was awesome "If both of you were drowning in a lake I would save you first.....you're half his weight". Eirene doesn't get the joke and come on...of course he would save Vorenus! lol... When they are all having dinner Pullo looks at Vorenus with such tenderness...and they are both joking and no one else thinks it's funny...
Well to conclude there's still hope for Vorenus as long as Pullo is near him...
I promise, if Vorenus loses Pullo's friendship (and love) I will scream, yell, cry to death...I'm so worried about that...Why can't Vorenus be happy after all he's been through for Christ's sake!!!

The other events:

Vorenus has sex with Gaia.
First orgy of the show.
Octavia gets high.
Atia goes back to her son crying, begging "forgive me" (ooh Atia..she knows how to solve problems;))
Cicero hasn't changed a bit: "I go where I can get some of the power..." and sends his greetings to Brutus.
Marc Antony receives Atia's visit and a surprise....Octavian...sorry, Caesar and his troops. Let's make peace. Who are you kidding guys???

ROME, EPISODE 16 "TESTUDO ET LEPUS"

What an episode!!! I mean woooowww!!!

First of all ,and the most important thing, is that Vorenus and Pullo are getting back together!!!
Well actually they've not been the best buddies in the world in the episode since they had a good fight in the last episode. But eh, they cannot be apart! Pullo goes and finds Vorenus among Marc Anthony's troops and tells him that his kids are alive. No sooner has Vorenus learnt the big news that he is back on Pullo's side and both of them go looking for the kids who have been enslaved. That's when one of the best and most intense scenes of the show takes place: Vorenus and Pullo finding the children, Vorenus holding the little Lucius in his arms, Vorenus killing the slave merchant...awesome!...with a great final: Pullo and Vorenus leaving the creepy place with the kids in their arms, and the theme from the show as music background.
Pullo and Vorenus forever! The best dads ever (eh Liz?! ;))!!!

What about the other Romans....?

Let me reassure you, Atia has not been poisoned! As I expected, it is the slave girl who tastes the meal before Atia, so unfortunately she turns out to be the victim and dies in front of her domina. Atia is furious, and Duro having been captured by her men, she tortures him -well Timon is doing the job for her as usual...- and she then has the confirmation that Servilia is behind the conspiracy. Not really a surprise for Atia! The young Duro ends up murdered by Timon after he has confessed it all. Servilia is captured and tortured by Timon on Atia's orders, but quickly Timon has enough of it. Suddenly he refuses to torture Servilia any longer and yells at Atia "I'm not an animal!!". It was a very intense scene and the torture scenes were very disturbing also.

Now....the new Octavian has finally arrived!!!
He's all grown up now, a man indeed!
It is strange to have another actor playing Octavian but I think Simon Woods is doing a pretty good job, anyway Max Pirkis was too young to play Octavian as an adult.

I will repeat it again and again but Rome rocks!!!
Right now I think I like it better than Six Feet Under! Anyway there is no comparison to make between the two, I think they are both the best series ever!!! Ave!

PS: Liz and I have reached the point of no return: our mental illness or obession concerning Vorenus cannot be cured, we are definitely under his charm. Unbelievable, how can you let Brutus down??? lol jokin'. It's all the fault of Bedroom and Hallways, it has damaged us good, and what is terrible is that we haven't seen this film yet so things can only get worse!!! And I like it!!;)))

Little Children

It was one of these evenings that I particularly enjoy. I went to the movies alone last Sunday. I saw Little Children, a movie I really wanted to see because it seemed to me kind of creepy and it is the kind of films I prefer. Yep I love creepy, I love movies depicting the characters' psychology and the relationships between one another, and all the bad stuff happening to them. What is the most important to me is what is going on in the characters'mind and especially when it has to deal with creepy situations and the various issues told in the story. Ok I'm sorry it is not very clear but I think Little Children is the perfect example of the movies I really like.

Indeed, in a nice and quiet neighborhood, two stories are happening.

Sarah, a "desperate housewife", is attracted to a stay-at-home dad who often comes to the park with his little boy. Both married on their own side, the first to a man who is obsessed with pornography on the internet, the latter to a woman who is obsessed with her job. Those two unhappy married parents are going to find each other and feel intimately linked by their own desperation.

The other "event" is the release of a pedophile. Ronny has some issues concerning his sexuality and is desperate but his mother is here to help him. The problem is that the inhabitants are terrified and pretty unhappy to have a pedophile living in their nice and quiet neighborhood full of children.

The movie was just so right in the actors'performance and situations. Everything looked pretty right to me in the development of the movie except the end concerning our two lovers. And I was in the end touched by Ronny and Larry. I like how things end for the two of them.

Also I really loved the performances of the two main actors, Kate Winslet and Patrick Wilson.

To conclude ,2 hours with mixed feelings and apprehension but in the end satisfied, and touched by the characters.

Rome. Episode 15.

***SPOILERS***

Here we are, back in Rome!
Things are more and more exciting...

Mark Anthony asks Cicero to give him Gaul instead of Macedonia. The senator says the Senate will refuse but MA threats him well... MA goes to the Senate and thinks the deal is done but for once I gotta say I was well pleased and surprised by Cicero! He leaves Rome and is now on Octavian's side! Jesus, MA was furious.... Well done Cicero! For once you've done something right!

Atia is not in a great shape...she receives the visit of Agrippa who tells her and Octavia that Octavian has raised an army. Atia says "I have no son". That must be terrible for her, to have the man she loves and her own son as enemies...and things will get worse, for sure! And poor Atia is still Servilia's prey...with the help from a slave or I'd say a spy-killer-slave who works for Servilia and who has to kill the dear Atia. Servilia/Atia the fight continues....Will Servilia's devilish plan will come to its final and fatal result? Surpise, surprise...

Brutus, Brutus, Brutus...eh eh...well he is at the bottom...he sinks...in total despair...he purges himself in a lake...spiritual dimension...OK i'm sorry what I'm saying is not very clear but just watch and you'll see.

Vorenus/Pullo.....
The loves of my life!!!
Things are not going well between the 2 of them. Vorenus is still in total despair, he has become brutal and thinks Pullo f***ed his wife...so he has left the Aventine and is now on MA's side. Pullo is desperate too because he is losing his friend.. They are like soul mates. It was touching to know that Pullo cares so much about Vorenus. There's no word to describe their relationship. It's just beautiful and I really really hope they will be reunited soon because I can't imagine them to be enemies! There's a little hope at the end of the episode...when Pullo finds out that Lyde and Vorenus' daughters are still alive.
Come on guys! Do not disappoint me!

So to conclude on this episode, I think almost every character is in deep despair. It is more and more exciting knowing that Octavian has raised an army. He is gonna be back soon, the whole new Octavian, all grown up!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vorenus!!! Last Friday I watched the very first episodes of the show and I am more and more touched by this character. I am all nostalgic and amused of the beginning of Pullo and Vorenus' friendship.
And funny story that Liz told me yesterday: Kevin McKidd (Vorenus) and James Purefoy (MA) were lovers in a British film called Bedrooms and Hallways in 1999!

Jeudi soir j'ai vu un film magnifique au cinéma avec ma mère.
Das Leben der Anderen, film allemand, se passe en 1984 en RDA. La Stasi envoie un de ses agents, Gerd Wiesler (Ulrich Mühe) espionner un couple d'artistes, l'écrivain Georg Dreyman (Sebastian Koch) et l'actrice Christa-Maria Sieland (Martina Gedeck). Leur appartement est mis sur écoute et peu à peu Wiesler va être touché par ce couple. Il entend tout, il sait tout, il prend des notes, il est absolument fidèle au parti...jusqu'à ce qu'il ait enfin la preuve que Dreyman lui ne l'est pas, il suffirait d'un coup de fil pour mettre fin à l'opération "Lazlo" et que ses supérieurs, notamment le ministre de la culture, puissent le coincer. Mais voilà Dreyman sans le savoir a profondément touché Wiesler. Il voit enfin ce que c'est l'humanité. Il cache les preuves qui pourraient compromettre l'artiste, il est dégoûté par ce que fait le ministre de la culture à Christa, il devient en quelque sorte l'ange gardien du couple, lui qui au début était cet homme fidèle au parti, intraitable avec les détenus, n'hésitant pas à durcir les interrogatoires.
Ce film est vraiment magnifique, wunderbar, toll, schön usw... Le jeu de Ulrich Mühe est tout en finesse. C'est une belle histoire d'amitié qui s'ignore en quelque sorte. Et aussi une belle histoire d'amour entre Dreyman et Christa.
C'est un véritable plaisir de voir que le cinéma allemand continue à nous offrir des films magnifiques après Good Bye Lenin, La Chute ou Les Particules Elementaires. Et c'était aussi génial pour moi de réentendre de l'allemand, finalement il me reste encore du vocabulaire, tout n'a pas été perdu! J'aime énormément cette langue quoi qu'on en dise, je la trouve belle et agréable à entendre. Je suis aussi très touchée par l'histoire de l'Allemagne et j'aime comment les Allemands ont jeté leur regard sur leur passé douloureux avec le cinéma.

Un petit voyage un Berlin s'impose, non? Je eher, desto besser!

Don't worry I'm not giving up my dreams, otherwise how can you move on and be motivated? It's just hard sometimes when you feel stuck and don't know how to escape. I try to be optimistic, we're young, not even 20 so I guess, when time is right, leaving France for a year will become reality. It's just a question of tiiiiime as Depeche Mode sings. But I can't help feeling angry towards the RI, they are so not helping...Anyway let's get over with.
At least I'm glad I've found such good friends as you! I really love you girls! College is much more bearable with you, I mean we always have a great time, I feel I can talk to you freely without being judged, and we're acting like crazy giving one another nicknames (to our teachers too!;)). I know that when I feel low and that I see you girls, I feel better.

Despondency

This is one of these times when I feel sick at heart. When I feel that my life is empty. I guess it is a common feeling to doubt about oneself and not to be quite satisfied with one's life. I'd like to move forward, I feel that nothing interesting happens to me. But it is my fault, it is my job to make things happen. It is just that sometimes there are so many obstacles and I'm not smart or brave enough to fight them. Take the States for example! I don' have money, no money no journey . It is my dream to go and live abroad for a year, when I say abroad I mean really far away. Few months ago I thought my dream will come true until I came back to earth and realized I could never afford it. Just a few days ago I heard that it was still possible to apply for Oceania and my mother really loved me to go to New Zealand. But again money was the problem. As always. I have to wait another year. So I can work and spare the money. But I have so many doubts and questions!
Will I find a job this summer?
Am I going to be reasonnable enough to make savings?
Next year if I apply for the exchange programme it will be as a graduate, ie for my master and how am I gonna do if I don't know what I want to do after I graduate? Am I good enough for a master?
And what if they don't want me? Will they accept me for the exchange programme?
etc etc...

OK this is my pessimistic side. I wanna do it. I can do it. I deserve to live an experience like that. I'm good in what I'm doing right now. Hope the second semester will turn as great as the first concerning the results.
I really need a good kick in the ass to move on.
I have so many ups and so many downs. I'm like Robinson Crusoe lol. Except that I don't need to thank God all day lol.

Well my unachieved dream is one thing among other things that makes my life sucks right now and I hope my bright side will come back soon. That would be useful since I have a headache...:(

Thanks to Liz I saw the second episode of the second season of Rome.
It is still fuckin' brilliant! I really love the evolution of Octavian 's character, he is so clever and does everything he can to maintain his decisions. He has become a man who thinks about serious matters and has a goal that he is ready to accomplish, even against the will of Marc-Anthony and his mother (god I loved the scene when they fight! ). And it's exciting when you know he is going to be the most appreciated and successful Roman emperor!

Concerning Vorenus, with a kick in the ass from Marc-Anthony, he tries to "come back to life" after all he's been through. Still with the help of Pullo, he manages to become the master of the Aventine in order to keep the peace in that place after Erastes Fulmen's death. Vorenus has all this violence inside of him and Pullo seems quite worried about it.

The episode also shows the return of Cleopatra! The Queen of Egypt is in Rome and asks Marc-Anthony to publicly recognize her son as the legitimate son of Caesar. Of course M-A does not quite agree with that!
Funny how Atia is jealous of her^^.

De retour à Melbourne!

Ca y est nous connaissons le nom des deux finalistes hommes!
Ce que l'on peut retenir de ces demi-finales c'est qu'elles étaient...comment dire...EXPEDITIVE. Je n'ai pas vu les matchs mais rien qu'au score il est facile de voir que nos deux vainqueurs n'ont fait qu'une bouchée de leur adversaire!

Commençons par Roger qui en à peine 1h30 n'a fait qu'une bouchée du pauvre Andy qui y croyait pourtant! Roger semble imbattable, il est au sommet de son art...il mérite largement de gagner le tournoi, ET le Grand Chelem. Nous n'y sommes pas encore...En tout cas pour être vainqueur à nouveau de l'Open il devra battre Fernando!

T'es une fille géniale et ça me rend triste quand tu déprimes alors cheer up girl! tu ne dois rien à personne, vis ta vie comme tu l'entends sans te soucier de l'avis des autres car tu mérites d'être heureuse! Snif, Tommy Robredo, mon joueur de tennis préféré a perdu tout à l'heure face à Roger Federer, le numéro 1 mondial. Tommy s'arrête donc en 1/4 de finale de l'Open d'Australie, meilleure performance de sa carrière pour ce tournoi du grand Chelem. Il n'a pas démérité face au numéro 1 mondial avec un score de 6/3, 7/6, 7/5. Il s'est bien battu mais ça n'a malheureusement pas suffit face au génie de Federer. Le score est quand même serré si on le compare aux matchs précédents de Federer où peu de sets furent concédés à ses adversaires.

Federer retrouvera donc Andy Roddick en 1/2, ce dernier ayant d'ailleurs battu Federer récemment lors d'un tournoi de préparation à l'Open. Alors aura-ton droit à une surprise? Aura-t-on droit à autre chose que les éternels Federer et Nadal? Nadal a d'ailleurs eu du mal contre Murray qui a bien failli faire chuter le numéro 2. Aaaargh j'en ai marre de Nadal... If faudra aussi compter sur Davydenko, le russe qui ne faiblit pas. Surprise, surprise...enfin si on peut appeler ça comme ça car les têtes de série semblent indétrônables. Un petit chamboulement dans le classement ça ferait du bien, non?

La fac a repris il ya une semaine. Fini les vacances! Tant mieux remarque, il ne faut pas abuser des bonnes choses trop longtemps! Je suis contente d'avoir retrouvé les copines, c'est toujours autant le délire! Et je suis rassurée par les nouveaux profs de ce nouveau semestre, même si le travail s'annonce difficile surtout en littérature. On peut dire que les bouquins au programme ne sont pas les plus évidents! Je m'arrache les cheveux en ce moment avec Robinson Crusoe. C'est très intéressant à étudier mais pour ce qui est de le lire c'est une autre histoire...Enfin je trouve que le prof de litté est très bien même si il ne remplacera jamais Bill (nom de code lol).
On verra bien ce que ça donne, la bonne nouvelle c'est qu'il n'y a plus d'oral de civi.

Je laisse la fac de coté, et je parle de choses plus frivoles^^.

J'ai passé une partie de la semaine à regarder Deadwood, ma série coup de coeur du moment! Il ne me reste plus qu'un épisode de la saison 2 à voir:( ca passe vite! Les personnages sont toujours aussi infames et attachants, eh oui les personnages arrivent à combiner ces deux qualités. On pourrait quasiment tous les citer, sauf peut être Sol Star, un personnage que j'aime vraiment beaucoup^^ et qui n'a rien d'infame. J'en veux à HBO d'avoir arrêté la série au bout de 3 saisons parce que David Milch, le créateur de la série, avait prévu 4 saisons pour cette série et donc il s'est senti lésé par HBO mais bon la chaine à quand même accepté d'offrir à Milch 2 téléfilms pour qu'il puisse conclure la série comme il l'entend.
Puisque je parle de séries, j'ai vu récemment les nouveaux épisodes de Grey's Anatomy, Lost et Rome. J'aime beaucoup la nouvelle saison de Grey's qui a d'ailleurs gagné le Golden Globe de la meilleure série dramatique. Dommage que les nouveaux propos d'Isaiah Washington aient encore semé le trouble dans l'équipe de tournage! Il a en effet nié avoir traité T. R. Knight de "faggot" ce qui a refait monter toutes les tensions à la surface. Le problème a finalement été réglé par une lettre d'excuses de I. Washington. Heureusement qu'il est bon acteur et que j'aime son personnage (ie Dr. Burke):(
Lost de son coté offre une troisième saison très différente des deux précédentes. C'est un atout de la série: changer de cadre et de trame à chaque saison.
ATTENTION SPOILERS SAISON 1!
Quant à Rome, dont je n'ai vu qu'un épisode de la nouvelle saison, démarre sur les chapeaux de roue! La tension est à son maximum suite à l'assassinat de César et au tragique suicide de Niobe, la femme de Vorenus, qui aura besoin de Pullo plus que jamais. Vivement la suite:)!

Bonjour à tous et à toutes!
J'ai décidé de créer ce blog pour avoir la possibilité de parler en toute liberté de mes centres d'intérêts (cinéma, musique, séries télé, tennis ...) et de tout événement quel qu'il soit qui attire mon intention que ce soit personnel, en rapport aves les études ou avec le monde qui nous entoure. En gros je parlerai de tout ce qui me touche!
J'ai un blog sur myspace mais je ne m'y sens pas à l'aise pour raconter ma vie, et je n'ai pas été très productive jusqu'à présent sur ce blog car myspace me sert avant tout à interagir avec mes contacts, c'est pour cela que je rejoins Blogger que j'ai connu grâce à Liz;)
Je fais des études d'anglais alors ne soyez pas étonnés si beaucoup de posts sont en anglais. Je ne sais pas encore quelle sera la part de français et la part d'anglais dans mes posts, je verrai selon mon humeur:)
